Information Submitted by Visitors
When a visitor enters a name, phone number, or address in a search form, that information goes to the third-party provider that returns the results. Our servers do not keep a copy of those searches. A message sent to us is received so that we can reply.
Automatically Collected Technical Data
Hosting providers create routine logs that can include an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We consider that data in aggregate to operate the reference and understand use of its pages. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited data supports the reference, technical troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or build profiles of individual visitors.
Services Outside This Site
Links can lead to county and Ohio record portals, archive and library collections, and third-party search tools. The outside service's own policy governs information submitted there, including material sent through a sponsored-results tool operated by another company.
Data Recipients
Companies that host or support the reference may process server logs. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic technical data described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process.
Security and Retention
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the period needed for the purposes stated above. This reference stores no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor supplied information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Options
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. Because this reference retains very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and server logs, then removing what is located. Use the Contact page to make a request. Ohio, Warren County, and Hamilton Township public records remain under the original custodian's control: the Ohio Public Records Act, Ohio Revised Code ยง 149.43, governs public-record access, while the Ohio Address Confidentiality Program is set out in R.C. 111.41-.47 and excludes eligible participants from public voter lists under R.C. 111.44.
Policy Changes
Updates to this policy will be posted here. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised policy.
